The Best Way to Steam the Wrinkles of Yellow Bed Skirt
A new yellow bed skirt can look breaking around the bottom of the bed, coordinating seamlessly with a comforter or bedspread. Unfortunately, the magnificent bed skirt came out of the package occupied by unsightly wrinkles. However, keep going and put it on your bed, wrinkles and all, because the best way to steam the wrinkles of a bed skirt is to do it while hanging around the edges of the bed. Add the required amount of water to the steam, according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Plug the steam from the clothes into an extension cord and a power outlet, to give ample cord to work with. Let the steam warm up.
Take the hot steam and feel comfortable in a sitting position on the floor. Begin to steam the fabric of the skirt as it hangs from the bed. Press the button on the steam to emit steam and keep the steam about 6 to 8 inches away from the fabric far enough so that steam does not drip onto the fabric. Move the steam up and down in front of the fabric of the bed skirt and the wrinkles should fall off. Your way of working around the three sides of the yellow bed skirt with steam, slowly steam the fabric to remove wrinkles.
Wrinkles in a cotton or polyester blend yellow bed skirt will easily fall off with a garment vaporizer. Proceed more carefully if you have a bed skirt made of silk fibers. Some edges of the bed have wrinkles on the fabric that are a part of the effect – you should not try to eliminate these wrinkles. If you do not have a steamer for your clothes, household irons usually have steam settings that allow vertical use, just like a clothes steamer. Check your iron to see if the model has this capacity.
