How to Add Velcro Burlap Bed Skirt
Burlap bed skirt is a wonderful piece of bedding to hide your bed frame or the items under the bed. If you have ever changed the bedding in a bed with a bed skirt, you know you can and should move while you are tucking the sheets or quilts in. This can make the bed making a frustrating experience. To make the process easier, you can Velcro your bed skirt with your spring mattress to help keep it in place during the completion or use of the bed. Remove the mattress and skirt from the bed of your bed. Remove the hook side of the Velcro from the package. Measure the length and width of your box spring. Cut two pieces from the hook side of the Velcro to the length measure and two strips from the side of the hook to the width measure.
Connect your glue gun and allow it to warm up. Run a drop of hot glue along one side of your box spring. Smooth one of the long pieces of the hook part along the edge of one side of its box spring. Repeat the same step for the other side of the box spring. Attach the side of the remaining velcro hook to the top and bottom edge of the spring box. Soften the side face right skirt of the bed down, on the floor. Measure each side of the burlap bed skirt of the bed, as well as the top and bottom edge of the bed skirt. Cut pieces from the loop side of the velcro for these measurements.
Apply a bead of glue to the fabric along the left side of the burlap bed skirt, where the colored fabric of the bed skirt meets the normally white thin fabric that is placed over the top of the mattress of springs. Soften one of the long pieces of the velcro loop part in the fabric glue. Repeat the process for the right side of the bed skirt, as well as the top and bottom of the bed skirt. Allow the glue to dry completely. Place the skirt of the bed back on the spring of the box, matching the Velcro pieces. Press the velcro in place. Replace your mattress.
